Creation and Appointment Provisions

In 2015, the Executive Board of the University issued provisions governing the creation and appointment of assistant professorships and externally funded assistant professorships at UZH.

These provisions explain the terminology and common aspects of assistant and externally funded assistant professorships, such as status, teaching obligations, and how they are classified to the relevant pay category. They also highlight the differences between assistant professorships and externally funded assistant professorships, in particular with regard to the selection process, financing and appointment duration.
