A member of the governing body of the faculty or a faculty member designated by the governing body holds an annual progress meeting with assistant professors and externally funded assistant professors to discuss their career status and prospects. This meeting is documented in writing. Please refer also to the Provisions governing the Creation of and Appointment to Assistant Professorships and Externally Funded Assistant Professorships.
The guidelines are an aid to ensure a structured approach in which the same topics are covered with all assistant and externally funded assistant professors. It leaves sufficient scope to factor in individual concerns and any special circumstances.
