Leaving the University

An employment relationship can be terminated by notice or dissolved by mutual consent, or it can expire when temporary employment comes to an end.

There reasons for leaving are distinct from retirement, which occurs at the end of the semester in which a professor reaches the age of 65.

If a professor leaves the University after their 60th birthday and before the end of the semester after turning 65, this counts as early retirement.
